Obituary for Rosemarie Theresa "GRANDMA ROSARY" Bevsek (Lisac)
Rosemarie Bevsek, 92, passed away on May 9, 2019 at the Colorado Veterans Community Living Center in Walsenburg. She was born on April 1, 1927 in Rugby, Co to Josephine and Leo Lisac. She graduated from St. Mary High School in 1945 and worked various jobs in Walsenburg including the secretarial position at Walsenburg's Sheltered Workshop. She was a life-long member of our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and was deeply devoted to the Blessed Mother. She was a very kind, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
Her grandson Dean shared this beautiful tribute: "Anyone who knew my grandma could tell you she was the most gentle, kind, caring, loving and absolute sweetest person you could ever meet. She would sacrifice everything to help someone out. She taught me and the family how to love unconditionally and most importantly how to forgive someone no matter the reason. She was simply an angel on earth. She was always there through the toughest times and would never judge anyone. Words can't describe how perfect she was, she is my biggest inspiration. I know she is watching over all of us up in heaven. rest in peace Grandma Rose, until we meet again."
Rosemarie married Harry F. Bevsek on September 2, 1948. Their marriage lasted 40 years, ending with his death in 1988.
She is predeceased by her husband Harry, infant daughter Bonnie Rose, her parents and in-laws, Rose Corian, Matt Corian, Frank Bevsek, Sophie and Ed Zagar.
Survivors include her Children: Charles (Carol) Bevsek, Jay (Deborah) Bevsek, Sherry (Don) Montoya, Marilyn Bevsek, Randy (Sylvia Vigil ) Bevsek, her sister Carol (Steve) Glorioso and former daughter-in-law, Amy Behringer.
Grandchildren: Donald, Reginald and Robert Bevsek, Heather (Adam) Thoreson, Summer Jo (the late Bert) Faris, Whitney (Sonny) Salazar, Dustin, Darrin and Dean (Stacy Maldonado) Day, Neal (Kristi) Bevsek and Brian Bevsek, Tara Harrison, Madison Bussey, Keith Lessar and Jenny Fallon.
She was affectionately known as " Grandma Rosary" to her great-Grand Children: Braxton, Zachary and Aubriella Rose Thoreson, Shelby and Chance Faris, DJ Montoya, Gunner and Destiny Salazar, Adelyn, Ashton and Aria Bevsek, Shaylynn and Dejabella.
Nephews Glen (Alicia) Glorioso, Ed (Melva) Zagar, Ron (Sharon) Zagar, Donald (Linn) Glinsky, her special cousins Nic Christoff, Patty Papez, her life-long friend Helen Ugolini and extended family members.
