On Thursday January 24, 2019, Julia "Josephine" Cruz (Abila), passed away. Josephine was born December 9, 1936 in Chama, CO., to Eloy and Julia (Cardenas) Abila. Jo was a beloved wife to Dan Cruz for 45 years. Loving sister to Sonny (Richard) Abila (Mary Lou) and the most amazing mother to Stan Sandoval (Janet) Ken Cruz, Danette Cruz (John) and Judy Salomonson (Sean).
Grandma Jo Jo was an incredible Grandmother to her (8) Grandchildren; Nataline, Stan, Silvano, Mariah, Kenneth, Tyrone, Stone, and Jett and her 12 Great Grandchildren, Shanice, Lorenzo, Casiano, Massimo, Santino, Juanquin, Cruz, Jaelyn, Ayla, Isaiah, Soleil and Preston who all remeber the great times with Grandma Jo Jo, playing poker, drinking homemade smoothies and trips to the Dollar Store for toys. Each feeling special and thankful for having her as their Grandma.
Services to celebrate Josephine's wonderful life will be beginning with a funeral Mass at 12:00 pm, Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the Sacred Heart Church in Gardner, CO. Burial to follow at the Gardner Catholic Cemetery.
